Addressing the government session on June 19, Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructed the Ministry of Health to develop a set of new measures to counteract the spread of coronavirus in Kazakhstan, Toppress.kz correspondent reports.
“The Ministry of Health in cooperation with regional akimats (mayor’s offices) should draw up a new plan to combat the spread of coronavirus within a week and adjust the steps taken with due consideration of the situation in each region,” Mamin said.
Prime Minister also instructed the Ministries of Industry and Health to increase domestic production of personal protective equipment and ensure their availability to the public.
“The government must ensure sufficient supply of ventilator machines and personal protective equipment. Akimats should work with large enterprises to independently provide employers with personal protective equipment,” he added.
The Ministry of Health will also work out a plan for annual immunization of the population.
