All high schools across the country will start their first academic term in 2020 with distance learning, with the exception of remote rural ungraded schools, Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov said at a press briefing on July 14.
“We have started preparing for a new academic year. The epidemiological situation in the country is challenging. Considering the existing danger, a decision was made that from September 1, during the first academic quarter, high schools will be studying online, with the exception of small schools,” he noted.
The Minister added in the future, provided there is a steady decrease in the coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan, schools will gradually transfer to combined and full-time education in compliance with all sanitary requirements.
At the same time, university and college students will study remotely, he said.
