Criminal authority Arman Dzhumageldiyev has been detained in Kazakhstan, Toppress.kz reports with reference to the main headquarters for combating terrorism.
According to the information, Arman Dzhumageldiyev, known as “Wild Arman”, leads an organized criminal group, is involved in a number of criminal showdowns in the country.
“The criminal authority Arman Dzhumageldieva, known as “Wild Arman”, has been detained,” the message posted on the Telegram channel Sputnik Kazakhstan says.
Mass protests in Kazakhstan began in the first days of 2022. Then residents of the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in the west of the country opposed a twofold increase in prices for liquefied gas, then the protests spread to other cities. On January 4 and 5, clashes with security forces took place in Almaty, the police used gas and stun grenades. The Internet was turned off throughout Kazakhstan, and a number of TV channels temporarily stopped broadcasting. A state of emergency has been introduced throughout Kazakhstan until January 19.
