More than two hundred healthcare workers have been infected with coronavirus in Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Committee for Quality and Safety of Goods and Services of the Ministry of Healthcare Lyudmila Byurabekova said at a press briefing on April 13.
“There are 211 medical workers infected with COVID-19 in 13 regions of the country,” Byurabekova said.
74 medical workers fell ill in specialized hospitals that are treating patients with coronavirus. Of these, 20 people are currently in the quarantine center in Nur-Sultan, 10 – in the provisional hospital and 44 in the infectious diseases hospitals, she noted.
According to the latest official data, there are 979 COVID-19 infected people and 12 dead in Kazakhstan. The number of recovery cases reached 138.
