Russian social activists took the initiative to hold a “Good Neighbourliness” campaign, Toppress.kz correspondent reports citing www.ia-centr.ru. More than 100,000 masks and 20,000 pairs of gloves, pulsometers, thermometers and antiseptics will be sent to the regions of Kazakhstan in July 2020 by representatives of the Russian civilian sector. The cargo’s total value will exceed 1.5 million rubles.
NGOs from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Saratov, Astrakhan, Novosibirsk, Orenburg and Kazan will join the action. The first batch of humanitarian aid will be shipped on July 15 to the city of Kostanai by the Ural-Eurasia expert club (Yekaterinburg). The campaign will be extended to the cities of Petropavlovsk, Kokshetau, Uralsk, Atyrau, Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
The public initiative is expected to further contribute to the Russian assistance to Kazakhstan in the fight against COVID-19.
As reported earlier, according to the agreements between the prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia, a group of doctors arrived in Nur-Sultan to assist in the fight against coronavirus, while the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered humanitarian aid with medical supplies, protective clothing sets and masks.
