President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the strict quarantine, which was supposed to end on July 20, will be extended for another two weeks, Toppress.kz correspondent reports citing Tokayev’s official Twitter account.
Due to the epidemiological situation in the country, quarantine will be extended for another two weeks. The government commission will make a decision tomorrow. Quarantine is needed to protect people’s health, provided they comply with strict self-protection measures, he wrote.
In addition, Kazakhstanis in need will be paid 42,500 tenge, the President said.
As reported earlier, strict quarantine was re-introduced in Kazakhstan on July 5 and was supposed to last two weeks.
