Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin chaired a regular government meeting on August 4, Toppress.kz correspondent reports citing Kazinform.kz.
Less than a month is left before the start of a new school year, therefore preparation should be intensified. It is important to finalize the entire teaching methodology, to carry out extensive explanatory work among children, parents and teachers. To this end, by August 20 it is necessary to hold a national online teacher-parent meeting providing them with detailed information about the upcoming educational process, he said.
Askar Mamin stressed the importance of preparing students and teachers for the distance learning.
The Ministry of Education and Science together with regional akimats (mayor’s offices) must ensure that students and teachers are fully prepared for the remote start of the academic year by August 25. Therefore, the government should conduct all necessary teacher trainings and prepare the required content for the Internet and television platforms. The problem with the availability of textbooks should be resolved by August 25, the head of government noted.
He also instructed the Ministry of Digital Development together with akimats and communications providers to ensure the availability and sustainability of educational resources and high-speed Internet in rural areas.
The akimats and Ministry of Health should take all necessary measures to comply with strict sanitary and epidemiological standards in educational institutions, especially in those schools that will continue their education in the traditional full-time format, Mamin concluded.
