Kazakhstan has temporarily suspended visa-free regime for citizens of 57 countries, Toppress.kz correspondent reports citing the Governmental Decree that was published on the Prime Minister’s website.
The Decree reads, to suspend until November 1, 2020 the validity of paragraph
17 of the Rules for entry, stay and departure of immigrants in Kazakhstan, approved by the Government of Kazakhstan on January 21, 2012.
According to paragraph 17 of the Rules, citizens of 57 countries had the right to enter Kazakhstan without a visa in case their stay in the country did not exceed 30 days. The list includes citizens of Australia, USA, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, UAE, Vatican, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Indonesia, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Cyprus, Colombia, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, Great Britain, Philippines, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Chile, Switzerland, Sweden and Estonia.
The decree also suspends the validity of paragraph 26-1 that grants the citizens of China and India 72 -hour visa-free entry, stay and departure from Kazakhstan in case they are being in transit in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau, Karaganda and Taraz.
