On July 28, Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports Dastan Ryspekov said Kazakhstan is planning to resume flights to Turkey from August 10, Toppress.kz correspondent report citing Tengrinews.kz.
It all depends on the epidemiological situation both in our country and in the partner countries. Overall, we are considering resuming flights to Turkey from August 10, Ryspekov explained at a press briefing.
The government is not standing still, we are working on other areas that had been tackled before the introduction of quarantine and deterioration of the epidemiological situation. At the moment some countries closed their borders as the COVID-19 situation there has worsened. We keep this issue under control and are working on it, he said.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstan resumed international flights to Turkey and South Korea on June 20. In the period from June 20 to July 4, 622 Kazakhstanis were able to travel to Turkey. However, due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation, flights to Turkey were temporarily suspended.
