The National Bank of Kazakhstan has relocated from Almaty to Nur-Sultan, Toppress.kz correspondent reports citing the bank’s press service. The financial institution’s new legal address is as follows: Nur-Sultan, 57A Mangilik Yel Avenue.
At the same time, the National Bank’s permanent representative office has opened its doors in Almaty. On June 29 the bank’s Deputy Chairman Dina Galiyeva was appointed as the branch head.
“The NBK representative office will continue its close cooperation with the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, financial market entities and international financial institutions,” the press service’s statement reads.
As reported earlier, on November 11, 2019 President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on the National Bank’s reorganization. On January 1, 2020 the NBK delegated its regulatory powers over the financial market to the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
