The new Russian drug will be used to treat indoor patients with COVID-19 in Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat announced at a press briefing on July 3, Toppress.kz correspondent reports.
In her words, the Russian drug Avifavir was included in the protocol for the treatment and examination of patients with coronavirus infection.
“The Russian Federation stated that Avifavir has successfully passed through clinical trials. This drug will be purchased and delivered to our country. We will use it to treat indoor patients and monitor the treatment, since it is new and has just passed clinical trials in Russia,” Giniyat said.
