On June 4, Kazakhstan’s Senate approved a law “On ratification of the Agreement on exchange of information about goods and international transport vehicles moving across the customs borders of the Eurasian Economic Union and the People’s Republic of China,” Toppress.kz correspondent reports.
“The law aims to promote cooperation in the field of customs information exchange,” Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev said. “Information about all types of transportation will be exchanged in electronic format using the information systems of EAEU and of the authorized body of China. This will speed up customs operations, increase effectiveness of the risk management system and identify cases of customs duty evasion,” he noted.
The law has been submitted to the President for signing.
